The Fred Rogers Memorial, also known as the Pittsburgh Tribute to Children, was created by forming an elliptical opening in the center of an existing unused bridge pier.
Franco furnished and installed the cast stone soffit and trim around the ellipse, which was a mathematical feat in itself. Additionally, Franco cleaned and restored the existing stone bridge pier and installed new sandstone to match the existing at the base of the monument along the river below.
